Surveys for Home Owners
Home owners will eventually be faced with the question: "Do I need a survey?".
Often, the question comes up when you are considering buying a home,
but it can also come up for a variety of other reasons, such as a need
to determine property boundaries when building a fence.
There are three basic surveys that are available to the home owner.
Reference Plan Reference
Plans are legal documents filed with Registry Office that typically
offer only the most basic information, such as boundary measurements.
Plans are assigned a specific reference plan number.

Surveyor's Real Property Report (SRPR)
A Surveyor's Real Property Report is also a legal document that offers
significantly more information than a Reference Plan. It generally
takes the form of an illustration of the various physical features of
the property along with a written report highlighting the surveyor's
opinion of any concerns.
